Nicholas Parr grew up in New York, and graduated from the Rutgers School of Law - Newark in 2008. He began handling Social Security cases in 2013 as an attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern NY. In 2019, Nicholas moved to Charlotte, and joined the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy as an attorney where he primarily handled Social Security cases.
During his career, he has represented people who were either seeking or receiving Social Security benefits at the state agency, Administrative Law Judge, Appeals Council, and Federal District Court levels. He has been quoted by the Charlotte Ledger and 19th News in articles about the Social Security Administration. He is the incoming co-chair of the CLE Committee for the Disability Advocacy Section of North Carolina Advocates for Justice, and a member of the Mecklenburg Bar’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee.
